The Millburn PS football team finished as runners‑up in yesterday’s Killowen Cup after four extremely competitive matches, showcasing plenty of skill, determination and great football throughout. A big thank‑you to all the family members who came along to cheer the team on - your support means so much. Finally, congratulations to St John’s PS on being worthy winners.

Another brilliant Friday afternoon spent preparing for our upcoming league and blitzes. Huge thank you to St John’s for welcoming us for a series of friendly netball games - such a warm, positive atmosphere and exactly the kind of challenge our players thrive on.

The teams showed real growth today: sharper movement, smarter decisions, stronger communication, and a much deeper understanding of the rules. Most importantly, they played with respect, resilience, and the values we’re proud to see on and off the court. We have a strong sense that this group is becoming one to watch. We have some special talent in Millburn Netball. The season ahead is looking exciting.

The Millburn Primary School basketball team had a brilliant day at Ulster University, Coleraine, competing against local primary schools. Throughout every match, our players displayed outstanding skill, teamwork and determination, representing the school with real pride.

Their hard work paid off in style as Millburn secured victory in the final, delivering an exceptional performance against a very talented Ballysally PS team. It was a fantastic achievement and a testament to the spirit and togetherness of the squad.

What an extraordinary achievement for our magnificent debating team, who this morning secured their place in the FINAL of the Northern Ireland Debating Championships! This is a truly outstanding milestone and we could not be prouder of their dedication, talent and spirit.

Facing the challenging motion ‘Tourism does more harm than good’, our pupils displayed remarkable calmness, eloquence and teamwork. Their thoughtful arguments and composed delivery saw them overcome strong opposition from St Patrick’s PS, Holywood - a victory that speaks volumes about their hard work and confidence.
