This morning, Millburn Primary School was officially presented with The Irish Football Association School Quality Mark, during what was a memorable whole school assembly.

We are immensely proud that Millburn is one of just two primary schools in the country to have gained this prestigious award. We were delighted to be joined by illustrious guests from a range of local football clubs who do an amazing job in helping support our pupils to develop their football skills. A highlight of this morning’s event was hearing from past pupil and ex Northern Ireland international, Steve Lomas. Steve shared some memories of his time as a pupil at Millburn, talked about his experience as a Premier League footballer with Manchester City and West Ham United and congratulated the school on the recent award. All in attendance heard from some of our pupils, who talked about the great sporting opportunities they have enjoyed at Millburn, to date.

This award should be celebrated by all connected with the school, an amazing achievement - we are extremely proud!
